Position: Inventory Controller

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reporting To: Finance Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage end to-end accounting operations, inventory accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in Tally ERP, inventory management of Raw Materials (RM) and Packing Materials (PM), GST, TDS, and bookkeeping.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management (RM,PM & FG)

- Manage end-to-end accounting of Raw Material (RM) and Packing Material (PM) and
- Finished Goods inventory.
- Record inward and outward inventory transactions accurately in Tally
- ERP/Unicommerce.
- Verify Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), material issues, production consumption, and
- stock transfers.
- Reconcile physical inventory with book stock and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accurate closing stock records.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Procurement, and Finance teams for inventory
- accuracy.
- Preparation of Month end reports like Raw Material & Packing Material consumption
- throughout the month without any errors and submitting the closing stock like
- Finished goods/Raw Material/Packing Material.
- Preparation of COGS Report every month
- Ensure proper accounting of expired, damaged, rejected, and returned materials.




- Verify material consumption against production records.
- Reconcile production batches with inventory consumption.
- Support costing activities by validating raw material and packing material
- consumption.
- Monitor production-related inventory adjustments and stock movements.
- Assist in preparation of inventory MIS and monthly stock reports.

Statutory Compliance

- GST Knowledge is added advantage
- TDS Knowledge is added advantage

Required Skills & Knowledge

- Strong hands-on experience in Tally ERP.
- Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Expertise in Raw Material (RM) and Packing Material (PM) inventory
- management.
- Experience in inventory reconciliation and stock accounting.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP,
- SUMIFS, and basic reporting).
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.

Qualification

- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- CA Inter / CMA Inter will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or inventory-driven industries is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in managing RM & PM inventory accounting is mandatory.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
