What You'll Do

As a Manufacturing Design Engineer, You Will

Take existing prototype designs and convert them into production-ready mechanisms
Redesign assemblies for robustness, repeatability, and field reliability
Lead DFM / DFA efforts across CNC machining, sheet metal, and additive manufacturing
Perform tolerance stack-ups and GD&T-driven; redesigns to eliminate manual tuning
Work through multiple design–build–test–iterate cycles
Create manufacturing-ready drawings, BOMs, and documentation
Collaborate closely with electronics,



firmware, and automation teams
Support vendor discussions and early pilot production builds

Eligibility

Minimum 1 year of hands-on mechanical / product design experience
Background in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering
Prior participation in hands-on engineering competitions or tech fests such as: SAE BAJA / BAHA, RoboCon, eYantra, URC, Techfest / similar national or international competitions
Available for full-time, on-site work at Maker Village, Kochi
Have been a part of non-academic projects like ROBOCON, e-yantra, SAE BAHA, URC, Techfest etc.

Must-Have Skills

Solid understanding of sheet metal, CNC machining, and fabrication constraints
Experience designing parts for additive manufacturing (FDM / SLA)
Ability to own and iterate mechanisms, not just create CAD models
Solid attention to detail and quality-driven mindset
Willingness to learn beyond defined job roles and adapt in a
