Role Summary
We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python and/or Node.js and hands-on experience building cloud-native applications on AWS. The role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting scalable backend services, APIs, data integration solutions, and event-driven applications that enable critical business capabilities.
Our Team & Opportunity
The Corporate Systems division partners with multiple stakeholders and technology teams across Vanguard to support business critical functions through key Operational platforms, Finance One technology, and Enterprise Services technology.
As an Application Engineer II, you will join a talented, welcoming, and highly team-oriented team within Corporate Systems that builds and maintains critical technology platforms for the organization. You will work closely with experienced engineers who are passionate about delivering trusted, scalable, and resilient systems that support essential financial and regulatory processes, directly aligning to Vanguard’s mission of giving investors the best chance of investment success.
