Shift Schedule: 4/10's (48/96 Shift Schedule switch once the addition of 2 FF/EMT positions are opened).

Salary Range: $64,833.27 - $71,479.07 (Base 2025 CBA) (+4% 2026 Base CBA)

Minimum Requirements

(the requirements listed below must by accomplished by the application deadline)

Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at date of closing.
Educational Requirement: Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Fire Certification: IFSAC or Accredited Firefighter I; NWCG Wildland FF Type II (or ability to obtain both, 6 months of hire).
EMS Certification: Washington State or National Registry - EMT (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
Medical Examination: Ability to pass a medical exam based on NFPA 1582 Medical Requirements for Firefighters.
Licensure: Possess a valid insurable Washington Driver's License, or ability to obtain; possess a driving record that meets Benton Fire District 2’s standards.
