Role Description The Internal Medicine Specialist will provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care to adult patients with a broad range of medical conditions, focusing on prevention, acute care, and management of chronic diseases. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting investigations, formulating evidence-based treatment plans, and coordinating care with other specialties as needed. The role involves inpatient and outpatient management, participation in clinical rounds, documentation in medical records,



and adherence to hospital protocols and quality standards.

The Internal Medicine

Specialist will also contribute to patient and family education, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and may participate in internal clinical discussions, seminars, and case reviews. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Kanishk Surgical & Super Specialty Hospital in Dehradun.

Qualifications

- Strong clinical skills in adult internal medicine, including diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of common and complex medical conditions.

- Ability to interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic investigations, and integrate findings into comprehensive care plans.

- Proficiency in patient communication, counseling, and shared decision-making, with a focus on empathy and cultural sensitivity.

- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and coordinating care with specialties such as cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, and critical care.

- Commitment to clinical governance, adherence to evidence-based guidelines, and maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation.

- MD/DNB in Internal Medicine or equivalent recognized qualification; valid registration with the relevant medical council.

- Previous experience in a tertiary care or multi-specialty hospital setting is preferred.
