- Assist in Implement IP strategies to protect the organization's innovations and technologies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough Trademark and Patent searches and evaluate results.
- Preparation, filing, and prosecution of IP applications and other IP-related filings, including trademarks and copyrights.
- Collaborate with other department and business teams to assess IP risks and opportunities associated with current products and technologies.
- Monitor and manage the IP portfolio, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with international IP laws.
Communication Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all IP-related inquiries, providing expert guidance to internal stakeholders on IP matters.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate employees on IP best practices, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with external legal counsel and IP firms to manage IP litigation, licensing negotiations, and other legal matters related to IP.
Reporting Responsibilities
- Routine reporting on the status of the IP portfolio, including new filings, and ongoing litigation.
- Analyze and report on trends in IP activity, competitor IP strategies, and regulatory changes that may impact the organization's IP landscape.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all IP assets, filings, and correspondence to ensure proper documentation for audits and legal compliance.
