Role Description The Instrument Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida. This role focuses on developing and updating instrument layouts, specifications, and data sheets for industrial plants, ensuring compliance with project standards and client requirements.

The Instrument

Designer will prepare and review loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules, and will work with Smart Plant Instrumentation or similar tools to maintain accurate instrument indices and databases.



Daily activities include coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, supporting detailed plant design for refineries and other process industries, and resolving design-related queries during project execution. The role also involves maintaining documentation, supporting as-built updates, and contributing to continuous improvement of design practices and templates.

Qualifications

- Strong instrumentation and plant design skills, including experience with industrial instrumentation and overall plant design concepts.
- Hands-on experience in refineries or similar process industry environments, with understanding of process and control requirements.
- Proficiency with Smart Plant Instrumentation or comparable engineering design software and tools used for instrument databases.
- Ability to design, interpret, and review loop diagrams and related instrumentation drawings and documents.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to instrumentation and control systems.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to read and produce engineering drawings, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced project setting in Noida.
- Experience with EPC projects, 3D plant modeling tools, and drafting software (such as AutoCAD) is an advantage.
