Description

8+ years of software engineering experience.
Robust hands-on experience with Java (Java 11/17+) and Spring Boot.
2+ years of hands-on experience with OpenSearch administration, development, and optimization.
Strong understanding of OpenSearch architecture, indexing, mappings, shards, replication, query optimization, and cluster management.
Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
Experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Requirements

Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Strong understanding of Linux systems and distributed computing concepts.
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and performance tuning skills.

Job responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain large-scale OpenSearch clusters and search platforms.
Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines using Kafka and OpenSearch.
Develop Java-based applications and services that integrate with OpenSearch.
Design efficient indexing strategies, mappings,



and search solutions to support high-volume data ingestion and querying.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize OpenSearch cluster performance, scalability, and reliability.
Implement security controls, access management, and data protection mechanisms within OpenSearch environments.
Build and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Develop automation tools and operational utilities using Java.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable search and analytics solutions.
Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to platform modernization initiatives.
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
