What You’ll Own
Perform and oversee complex reconciliations of financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Investigate and resolve high-level discrepancies, escalating critical issues to management as necessary.
Review and approve reconciliation reports prepared by junior and mid-level analysts.
Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and support to the reconciliation team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address reconciliation challenges and implement solutions.
Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance reconciliation efficiency and accuracy.
Develop, document, and enforce best practices for reconciliation processes.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external regulatory requirements.
Prepare and present reconciliation summaries and recommendations to senior management.
Mentor and train junior and mid-level staff, fostering career development within the team.
Monitor aged items and work to resolve them promptly to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. A master’s degree (MBA Finance, M.Com, or equivalent) is preferred.
Professional certifications such as CMA India, or other finance-related certifications are considered an added advantage.
8+ years of experience in account reconciliation, financial analysis, month-end close, balance sheet substantiation, or a similar finance operations role.
Proven track record of handling complex reconciliations, aged item resolution, reviewing analyst deliverables, and leading process improvement initiatives.
