ReOrbit is looking for a motivated Senior Harness Engineer to join the team at our HQ in Helsinki, Finland. We are looking for an experienced engineer who is proactive and confident to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of the team, communicating with internal teams and external partners.
You will be responsible for the satellite on-board electrical wiring and RF solution developing for our new project, as well as supporting other projects across the company. This is an exciting opportunity to join a project, with major industry players, and pushing the boundaries of existing space data technology.

Responsibilities
Requirements specification definition.
Harness design definition, including:
Mass optimization
Harness database management (Pin to Pin)
Research for database management tools
3D routing and bundle fixation (Electrical, coaxial and waveguide)
2D schematics design
Cut-outs/Holes definition
Suppliers research, iteration, analysis, and trade-off
Harness (CAN, RS422, Power, etc) and RF technical Requirements Specification and SOW definition
Integration procedures guidelines definition
Skills And Requirements
Minimum of 10 years, working within satellite harness (Electrical & RF) engineering or similar areas within the space industry (excluding nanosats or microsats).
Knowledge and professional experience of the full lifecycle of satellite systems.
High level harness system design capability.
Ability to analyse data, derive conclusions, and manage design documentation as well as review and approve design changes.
Capability on lean design and development techniques.
Comfortable working closely with external vendors and consortium partners.
Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
Fluent written and spoken skills in English.
