About the role We have an opportunity for a full time, lab-based in vitro Biology scientist as part of the growth of our compound profiling team. The ideal candidate will have a track record in developing biochemical/biophysical assays in 96- and 384-well formats using the latest technologies, and experience in profiling compounds for potency, affinity and mechanism of action.

As a key member of the Topia profiling team, you will support the efficient execution of our programs with high-quality decision-making data. You will be expected to maintain the highest levels of compliance in safety and record keeping.

This role is part of Topia’s capability build to deliver on our pipeline of internal and partnered programs, while having an impact on expanding Topia Tech Infrastructure.

This Ahmedabad-based position reports directly to ADME/IVB Profiling Senior Manager.

Key Responsibilities Experimental Design & Execution

Develop in vitro enzymatic/biophysical assays, including functional and binding methods using fluorescence and luminescence technologies.

Produce robust, reproducible in vitro data in support of Discovery programs.





Design more complex assays to elucidate the mechanism of compound action, including kinetic determinations, and reversibility studies.

Data Analysis & Interpretation

Perform data processing, curve fitting and statistical analysis. Generate and track quality metrics to ensure quality.

Provide interpretation of in vitro results to cross-functional teams.

Collaboration & Reporting

Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Computational & synthetic chemistry, biology, clinical) to ensure program timelines are met. Act with a sense of urgency and in accordance with prioritisation established by Topia Leadership.

Prepare reports and presentations for internal meetings and stakeholders. Ensure contemporaneous experimental record keeping.

Qualifications & Skills PhD or Master’s in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field.

3–5 years for entry-level; 7+ years for senior/principal scientist roles.

Working knowledge of in vitro drug discovery concepts and processes.

Expertise in the development/validation, optimization, and implementation of assays for DMTA cycles and mechanism of action studies.

Proficiency with a range of contemporary biochemical techniques (eg., luminescence, TR-FRET, HTRF, FP. SPR is a plus)

Familiarity with pharmacological principles, data analysis, related software and statistical tools.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Excellent communicator (English) with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented global environment; strong analytical skills, record-keeping orientated and result-driven mindset.
