The Hygiene & Sanitation Officer is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety throughout the frozen food manufacturing facility. The role involves planning, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving cleaning and sanitation programs to ensure compliance with company policies, GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and applicable regulatory requirements. The officer works closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to maintain a hygienic processing environment, prevent product contamination, and support the production of secure, high-quality frozen food products.

Key Responsibilities

Hygiene & Sanitation

- Implement the Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS) for all production and non-production areas.
- Supervise daily cleaning and sanitation activities carried out by housekeeping and sanitation personnel.
- Verify that all food-contact surfaces, equipment, utensils, and processing areas are cleaned and sanitised before production.
- Conduct pre-operational hygiene inspections and release production areas after satisfactory verification.
- Ensure cleaning procedures comply with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

GMP & Personnel Hygiene

- Monitor compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP).
- Ensure employees follow personal hygiene requirements, including proper hand washing, PPE usage, uniform standards, and hygiene zoning.
- Report and follow up on GMP non-conformities.
- Conduct routine hygiene inspections across the facility.

Chemical & Sanitation Control

- Prepare and verify cleaning chemical concentrations according to approved procedures.




- Ensure safe handling, storage, and labelling of cleaning chemicals.
- Monitor and performing chemical inventory, consumables inventory and coordinate replenishment.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all sanitation chemicals.
- Assist in microbiological sampling of production environments.
- Record, review, and report sanitation verification results.
- Initiate corrective actions when hygiene standards are not met.

Waste & Pest Control

- Monitor waste segregation, collection, and disposal practices.
- Ensure waste storage areas are clean and maintained.
- Coordinate routine pest control activities with approved service providers.
- Report pest sightings and ensure timely corrective actions.

Documentation

Maintain and update records including:

- Cleaning and sanitation checklists
- Pre-operational inspection reports
- Chemical concentration logs
- Deep-cleaning schedules
- Pest control reports
- Waste management records
- Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) reports

Conduct induction and refresher training on:

- Personal Hygiene
- GMP & GHP
- Cleaning and Sanitation Procedures
- Chemical Safety
- PPE Usage
- Waste Management.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, or a related discipline.
- HACCP, GMP, GHP, or Food Safety certifications will be an added advantage.
- Experience Requirement- 2 to 3 years.

Note: Applicants must be able to independently arrange their daily commute to and from the work site. Accommodation is not provided as part of the employment package. CTC- 38000/-per month.
