WERE HIRING: GENERAL MANAGER – HUMAN RESOURCES

Location: Udupi, Karnataka

Industry: Engineering Manufacturing / Foundry

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on General Manager – Human Resources to lead the HR function at our manufacturing facility in Udupi.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and implement HR policies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training and workforce planning.
- Manage industrial relations and maintain a positive working environment.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, factory regulations, standing orders and statutory requirements.
- Handle employee relations, grievance resolution and disciplinary matters.
- Manage performance appraisal, compensation, payroll coordination and employee benefits.
- Develop supervisors, managers and high-potential employees through structured training.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, productivity and workplace culture initiatives.
- Coordinate with factory management, contractors, government authorities and labour consultants.
- Maintain HR records, dashboards,



statutory registers and management reports.
- Support safety, welfare, ESG and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Candidate profile:
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, MSW or equivalent qualification.
- Approximately 12–20 years of HR experience, including leadership responsibility in a manufacturing or foundry environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial relations and applicable labour laws.
- Experience managing both permanent employees and contract labour.
- Kannada language proficiency is strongly preferred.
- Solid communication, negotiation, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to be based in Udupi, Karnataka.
