Role Overview: The GL & MIS Manager will be responsible for managing the General Ledger accounting process and preparing accurate, timely Management Information System (MIS) reports. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, supports financial decision-making, and drives process improvements for reporting efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day General Ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements in compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.
Prepare and analyze MIS reports for management, covering financial performance, variances, and trends.
Develop and maintain inventory reporting to track stock levels, valuation, and financial impact on working capital.
Ensure inventory closure in ERP system during month-end closing to maintain accurate financial records.
Handle accounting and reporting for multiple entities, including group, subsidiary,
and associate companies, ensuring proper consolidation and compliance.
Collaborate with FP&A; and other finance teams to provide insights for budgeting and forecasting.
Maintain chart of accounts and ensure proper classification of transactions.
Lead statutory audits and internal audits by providing required documentation.
Implement process improvements and automation for GL and MIS reporting.
Monitor compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams for data collection and validation.
Provide timely and actionable insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications
CA Inter / MBA in Finance or equivalent.
6–10 years of experience in GL accounting and MIS reporting, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
Robust knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
