The responsibilities of a Sheet Metal Model Maker in the Duggan Manufacturing Press Room are:
Ability to barber tooling (IE punch and die)
Ability to set up punch and die tooling (2 piece, 3 piece, 4 piece)
Knowledge of blank development, IE adjusting blanks for cracks, strains, and rips
General knowledge of metal theory
Ability to run secondary operations, IE bending / forming tabs, hems, etc.
Basic part inspection
Some welding experience helpful but not necessary
Work Experience Preferences
Must have valid driver’s license
Must be able to drive a forklift
Knowledge of general tool and die, metal forming theory
Knowledge of basic part inspection
Education Preferences
High School diploma or equivalent
