We are seeking an accomplished and hands-on Principal C++ Architect to lead the re-architecture and modernization of a large-scale, safety-critical surgical robotics software platform. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in contemporary C++ software architecture, designing scalable systems, and transforming complex legacy codebases into modular, maintainable, and high-performance applications.
In this role, you will define the target architecture, establish engineering standards, mentor development teams, and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust software powering next-generation surgical robotic systems used in orthopaedic, spine, and cranial procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the architectural redesign and modernization of a large-scale surgical robotics software platform.
Define the target software architecture and roadmap for migrating legacy monolithic C++ applications into modular, scalable, and maintainable systems.
Design robust software architecture aligned with performance, reliability, maintainability, and long-term product evolution.
Establish engineering standards, coding guidelines, architectural principles, and software development best practices across engineering teams.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mid-level software engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and architectural guidance.
Collaborate with product management, QA, systems engineering, DevOps, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate actively in software design, implementation, debugging, optimization, and architectural decision-making.
Drive software quality initiatives through static code analysis, automated testing, and continuous integration practice
