Background

South Asia Field Epidemiology and Technology Network (SAFETYNET) in collaboration with the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and Emergency Management Division of CDC India, is seeking a qualified consultant to provide technical support for the development and implementation of the Risk Communication/Crisis and Emergency Risk Communication (CERC) curriculum.

The consultant will play a key role in updating and strengthening the Risk Communication/CERC curriculum and facilitating its implementation in at least one priority state, with the objective of enhancing India’s emergency preparedness and response capacities.

Scope Of Work / Key Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise in developing and/or updating the Risk Communication/CERC curriculum, ensuring it aligns with international best practices and national needs.
Work closely with officials at NCDC and Emergency Management Division of CDC India to adapt the curriculum to the Indian context.




Support the organization of a stakeholder engagement workshop to review, discuss, and refine the Risk Communication/CERC curriculum.
Support planning, coordination, and implementation of the Risk Communication/CERC curriculum in at least one priority state.
Provide technical assistance in piloting the Risk Communication/CERC curriculum in at least one state of India, including monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of outcomes.
Assist in development/ updating of Risk Communication/CERC component in existing training curriculum, manuals, case studies, and learning materials.
Assist in developing training modules, manuals, case studies, and learning materials.
Conduct training-of-trainers and capacity-building workshops for public health professionals.
Provide technical support to states and districts for operationalizing Risk Communication/CERC during emergencies.
Prepare technical reports, training evaluations, and document
