Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Technician role based in Mau. The technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential and commercial settings.

Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing system issues, performing routine inspections, cleaning and adjusting components, and replacing faulty parts. The role also involves coordinating with clients and team members, following safety and environmental regulations, documenting work performed, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably. The technician is expected to respond to service calls, support preventive maintenance programs,



and contribute to continuous improvement of service quality.

Qualifications

- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving HVAC system issues efficiently.
- Practical plumbing abilities related to HVAC installations, condensate drainage, and associated piping.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, including scheduled inspections, system cleaning, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of electricity and protected electrical practices for HVAC systems, including wiring, controls, and components.
- Understanding of EPA or equivalent environmental regulations and best practices for handling refrigerants and related materials.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders accurately.
- Commitment to safety, including use of personal protective equipment and adherence to company and legal safety standards.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain work performed in clear terms.
- Physical ability to perform on-site work, including lifting equipment, working at heights, and operating tools.
