Role Description The Head of Research and Development is a full time, on-site role based in Medchal, responsible for leading all R&D; activities within the organization. This role oversees the design, planning, and execution of research projects aimed at developing and improving seed varieties and related agricultural technologies.

The position involves managing and mentoring research teams, setting priorities, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and compliant with regulatory and quality standards. The Head of R&D; collaborates with cross-functional teams, prepares technical reports, interprets data, and presents findings to senior leadership to inform product and business strategy. Daily tasks include reviewing experimental designs,



monitoring field trials and laboratory work, optimizing processes, and staying updated on industry trends and scientific advancements relevant to seed and crop development.

Qualifications

- Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret complex data, draw insights, and make evidence-based decisions.
- Extensive experience in Research and Development (R&D;) and applied Research in agriculture, seeds, or related biological sciences.
- Proven Team Management capabilities, including leading multidisciplinary research teams, mentoring staff, and fostering collaboration.
- Solid Project Management skills for planning, prioritizing, and delivering multiple R&D; projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Agriculture, Plant Breeding, Genetics, Biotechnology, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of experimental design, field trials, laboratory techniques, and relevant regulatory and quality standards in the seed industry.
- Effective communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in Medchal, collaborate with operational teams, and engage with external partners or institutions as needed.
