Position Overview:-

As Head of Design, you will lead and oversee the Design department, managing a multidisciplinary team of architects, BIM specialists, Quantity Surveyors, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineers. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable design solutions that exceed client expectations and align with the company’s vision and values.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

- Develop and implement the overall design strategy in alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Provide visionary leadership that inspires and motivates the design team towards design excellence.

Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and empower a multidisciplinary team of architects, BIM specialists, Quantity Surveyors, and MEP engineers.
- Foster a team-oriented, inclusive environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Project Management

- Oversee the design process end-to-end from concept development to project completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve design-related issues or challenges.

Design Excellence

- Set design standards and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality across all projects.
- Review and approve design concepts, drawings,



and specifications for compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in architecture, BIM, Quantity Survey, and MEP engineering.

Quality Assurance

- Establish and implement quality assurance processes to ensure design deliverables meet the highest standards of excellence and accuracy.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Value Engineering

- Drive a continuous focus on cost reduction and process improvement across design deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; professional licensure or certification preferred.
- 15+ years of overall experience, including 3–5 years in a senior leadership role within architecture or real estate, with a strong focus on design management.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in architectural design, BIM technology, Quantity Survey, and MEP engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of design professionals towards common goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Commitment to sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement in design practices.
