We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Manager to oversee all aspects of school transportation operations at a reputable educational institution in Hyderabad. With 5–10 years of experience in school transport operations, this individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing the reliability and professionalism of our transportation services, contributing directly to the overall student experience and institutional reputation.
Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and continuously optimize school transport routes to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while minimizing travel time and fuel consumption.
Supervise and coordinate a team of drivers and transport supervisors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, punctuality, and skilled conduct.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle maintenance, driver logs, student attendance, route changes, and incident reports.
Ensure full compliance with local transportation regulations, school policies, and safety standards, including vehicle inspections and driver licensing.
Collaborate with school administration, parents, and external stakeholders to address transportation concerns, schedule changes, and feedback.
Conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions for transport staff to promote accountability and continuous improvement.
Respond promptly to emergencies or disruptions in the transport schedule, ensuring student safety and minimal disruption to the school day.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Education Administration, or a related field (preferred).
5–10 years of proven experience in school transport operations, with a strong track record in route planning and optimization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with staf
