Job Title :- Head Executive Education

Role Purpose To lead IMI’s Executive Education business across custom corporate programs, open-enrolment programs, executive certificates and other non-degree learning offerings, with end-to-end accountability for strategy, revenue, contribution margin, client experience, program quality and organisational capability.

Key Accountabilities

1. Business strategy and portfolio development

- Develop and execute a three-year growth strategy for Executive Education, including priority sectors, client segments, offerings, channels, partnerships and campus roles.
- Build a distinctive portfolio around areas where IMI can credibly win, rather than relying on a broad catalogue of undifferentiated programs.
- Identify emerging capability needs arising from AI, digital transformation, leadership, sustainability, customer centricity, strategy execution and other shifts in business.
- Establish a disciplined process for launching, reviewing, scaling and retiring offerings based on demand, client feedback, economics and strategic fit.

1. Revenue generation and key-account development

- Own the annual revenue and contribution-margin targets for the vertical and translate them into a credible account, pipeline and conversion plan.
- Personally originate and close significant custom-program and institutional opportunities; maintain an active presence with CHROs, CLOs, business heads, talent leaders and other senior decision-makers.
- Build a balanced pipeline across new clients, repeat business, key accounts, public-sector organisations, associations and selected international opportunities.
- Introduce professional sales discipline: account segmentation, CRM hygiene, opportunity qualification, proposal governance, stage-wise conversion metrics and accurate forecasting.
- Develop multi-year client relationships and move engagements from one-off programs to broader capability-building partnerships.

1. Consultative solution design and academic integration

- Diagnose client needs rigorously and translate business challenges into learning objectives, program architecture, participant journeys and measurable outcomes.
- Work closely with faculty and external experts to co-create high-impact solutions while preserving academic quality, practical relevance and delivery feasibility.
- Ensure proposals articulate a compelling business case, differentiated pedagogy, clear outcomes, faculty fit, delivery model and commercial terms.
- Create mechanisms to engage and develop a wider pool of faculty for Executive Education, while matching faculty expertise and style to client context.
- Encourage innovative formats such as action learning, simulations, field projects, coaching, digital reinforcement, assessment and post-program impact reviews.

1. Delivery excellence and client experience

- Provide end-to-end oversight from contracting and program design through delivery, closure, feedback, invoicing and renewal.
- Set and enforce standards for faculty preparedness, program management, participant communication, learning materials, hospitality and issue resolution.
- Use participant and sponsor feedback, learning evidence and business-impact indicators to improve programs and demonstrate value.
- Intervene early and decisively when quality, timelines, economics or client relationships are at risk.

1. Team and operating model

- Build, coach and retain a high-performing team spanning business development, solution design, program management, marketing support and operations.
- Create clear roles, targets, review rhythms,

incentives and accountability without encouraging short-term selling at the expense of client trust or program quality.
- Design an effective cross-campus operating model that leverages faculty, facilities, alumni and corporate relationships across Delhi, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.
- Build scalable processes, dashboards, templates, costing norms, partner protocols and knowledge repositories.

1. Institutional collaboration and market visibility

- Partner with faculty, alumni, marketing, finance, technology, administration and campus leadership to advance the vertical and IMI’s wider institutional goals.
- Use alumni and corporate networks thoughtfully to open doors, generate insight and strengthen account relationships.
- Enhance IMI’s visibility in the executive-learning market through relevant thought leadership, roundtables, executive forums, partnerships and selective public programs.
- Represent IMI with credibility, maturity and commercial judgment in senior external forums.

Candidate Profile

Experience

- Typically 12–18 years of relevant experience, with substantial responsibility in executive education, corporate learning, leadership development, consulting, B2B skilled services or an adjacent knowledge business.
- A demonstrable record of building revenue, winning complex institutional business and growing senior client relationships—not merely managing delivery after a sale.
- Experience in consultative solutioning and translating loosely defined organisational needs into commercially viable, high-quality interventions.
- Experience managing a business unit, portfolio or significant P&L; is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to higher education or faculty-led delivery is desirable; candidates from consulting, learning services or professional-services businesses should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in an academic environment.
- A postgraduate qualification is expected; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
