About the Role

DNOOR Hospital is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Consultant Gynecologist to join our growing Women's Health Department. The selected candidate will independently manage OPD, IPD, Labour Room, obstetric emergencies, and gynecological surgical procedures while delivering evidence-based, ethical, and compassionate care.

The consultant will work alongside a multidisciplinary medical team to ensure excellent maternal and women's healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

Obstetrics

Manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care

Conduct normal vaginal deliveries

Perform elective and emergency Caesarean sections (LSCS)

Handle high-risk pregnancy cases

Manage obstetric emergencies, including eclampsia, PPH, preterm labour, PIH, PROM, multiple pregnancy, and gestational diabetes

¢ Supervise the labour room and oversee foetal monitoring and delivery planning

Gynecology

¢ Diagnose and manage the full range of gynecological disorders, including menstrual disorders

¢ Manage PCOS/PCOD, fibroids, and ovarian cysts

¢ Treat endometriosis and manage menopause

¢ Manage cervical and uterine disorders

¢ Provide adolescent gynecology and preventive women's healthcare services

Surgical Responsibilities The Consultant should be proficient in the following procedures:





¢ Caesarean section (LSCS)

¢ Total abdominal hysterectomy

¢ Vaginal hysterectomy

¢ Dilation & curettage (D&C;)

¢ MTP procedures

¢ Tubectomy

¢ Ectopic pregnancy surgery

¢ Ovarian cystectomy

¢ Myomectomy

¢ Diagnostic & operative laparoscopy; hysteroscopy (preferred)Clinical Responsibilities

¢ Conduct daily OPD consultations and manage IPD patients

¢ Attend emergency calls and maintain medical documentation

¢ Prepare treatment plans and interpret diagnostic reports

¢ Counsel patients and family members

¢ Coordinate with Anaesthesia, NICU, ICU, and General Medicine teams

¢ Ensure NABH/NMC clinical standards where applicable

¢ Maintain infection control protocols

¢ Participate in clinical audits and CMEsQualifications & Eligibility

¢ MBBS with MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

¢ Valid NMC / State Medical Council registration (mandatory)

¢ Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience

¢ Demonstrated ability to independently handle OPD, IPD, labour room, obstetric emergencies, and gynecological surgeries

¢ Fellowship in laparoscopy, infertility, high-risk obstetrics, or minimal access surgery is an added advantage
