The Data Duck | Mumbai (Hybrid) | 3-month Internship Want to learn design the way it actually happens — under real deadlines, on real client work?
The Data
Duck is a strategy, design, and AI consultancy based in Mumbai, working with founders and brands across financial services, B2B, infra, and consumer sectors. We're looking for a Graphic Design Intern who's hungry to learn, quick with feedback, and excited to get hands-on from day one — not fetch coffee and watch from the sidelines. This is a real seat on the design team for 3 months.
You'll work on actual client deliverables, sit in on briefings, and see how a piece of design goes from a founder's half-formed idea to something that ships. What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the design team on live client projects — decks, social creative, brand assets, and marketing collateral
- Taking first passes at design briefs and iterating based on feedback from senior designers
- Helping maintain brand consistency across client style guides and templates
- Assisting with formatting and polishing presentations and documents to a client-ready standard
- Doing research — trends, references, competitor visuals — to support the team's creative process
- Picking up the practical, unglamorous parts of studio life: file organization,
version control, asset libraries — the stuff that makes a design team actually run smoothly What we're looking for:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in graphic design, visual communication, fine arts, or a related field
- A portfolio or coursework samples that show design thinking, not just software skills
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and/or Figma
- A valuable eye, a willingness to be told your first draft isn't the final draft, and curiosity about how brands and businesses actually work
- Based in or able to commute to Mumbai for the hybrid schedule Why intern with us: You won't be doing busywork. You'll be in the room for real client conversations, get direct mentorship from working designers, and walk away with actual shipped work for your portfolio — not a folder of hypothetical projects. Strong interns are the first people we look at when full-time design roles open up.
How to apply: Send your CV and portfolio (college projects count!) to
[email protected] with the subject line "Graphic Design Intern." A one-line note on why design is your thing goes a long way.
