General Manager Finance & Accounts

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Reports To: Managing Director

Role Summary The GM Finance & Accounts will lead the finance function, ensuring strong governance, compliance, and financial planning to support Marg Properties growth. This role involves strategic financial management, treasury control, investor relations, and team leadership, serving as a key partner to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Operations Oversee accounting, audits, taxation, and compliance. Ensure accuracy of financial statements (balance sheet, P&L;, cash flow).
- Budgeting & Forecasting Lead annual budgets and long-term financial planning. Monitor variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Treasury & Cash Flow Manage banking relationships, optimize working capital, and ensure liquidity for projects..
- Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, corporate governance standards, and internal controls.
- ERP & Systems Drive automation, ERP optimization, and data-driven reporting for real-time decision-making.




- Team Leadership Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering accountability and ownership.

Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA) / MBA (Finance).
- 512 years of experience in finance leadership, preferably in real estate, infrastructure, or manufacturing.
- Robust knowledge of SAP/ERP systems and financial management principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
