Role & responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end Finance & Accounts operations for shipping agency business.

- Manage Principal/HQ reporting, PCA reconciliation, agency commission, funding, and financial performance reporting.

- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, MIS, profitability analysis, and management reporting.

- Ensure effective credit control, receivables management, and cash flow planning.

- Handle statutory compliance, GST, TDS, Income Tax, audits, and regulatory requirements.

- Monitor vessel-related expenses, PDA reviews, and shipping operational financial controls.

- Lead month-end/year-end closing, financial accounting, and internal controls.

- Drive process improvements, ERP utilization (SAP), and finance automation initiatives.

- Manage relationships with Principals, auditors, banks, consultants,



and government authorities.

- Lead and develop Finance & Accounts team while overseeing administrative operations across branch locations.

Preferred candidate profile

- Chartered Accountant compulsory

- 10+ years of Finance & Accounts experience, preferably in Shipping, Liner Agency, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or Maritime industry.

- Solid knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, audits, treasury, and compliance.

- Experience in managing Principal reporting and shipping agency accounting will be an added advantage.

- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
