The General Manager Finance leads all financial, accounting, taxation, and banking operations for a solar EPC company.

Key requirements include managing project accounting, securing working capital limits, and ensuring tax compliance for large-scale engineering and construction contracts.

Role Overview

- Job Title: General Manager - Finance

- Core Focus: Complete financial management, project accounting, taxation, and banking relations

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management and Strategy

- Direct the overall financial strategy and budget planning of the company.

- Monitor project-wise profitability and cash flow for solar EPC contracts.

- Review project costing, estimates, and variance analysis regularly.

- Provide financial insights to the board for business growth and bidding decisions.

Accounting and Reporting

- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations and finalization of books of accounts.

- Ensure compliance with Ind-AS or IFRS accounting standards.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Manage internal audits and coordinate with statutory auditors.





Taxation and Compliance

- Handle direct and indirect taxation, including GST, TDS, and corporate tax.

- Ensure compliance with state and central regulations for solar projects.

- Manage tax filings, assessments, and litigations with tax authorities.

- Optimize tax planning for EPC contracts and capital imports.

Banking and Treasury Operations

- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.

- Secure working capital facilities, Letter of Credit (LC), and Bank Guarantees (BG) for tenders.

- Oversee fund management, cash flow forecasting, and debt servicing.

- Negotiate competitive interest rates and credit terms.

Required Qualifications

- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or BCom, MBA in Finance.

- Experience: 10 years of total finance experience.

- Industry Experience: Mandatory experience in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sector, with direct experience in solar or renewable energy preferred.

- Skills: Robust knowledge of project accounting, bank guarantees for large tenders, and tax laws.
