Role Description The Gear Sales Executive is a full-time, on-site role based at the Royal Enfield dealership in Guwahati. This role focuses on selling Royal Enfield gear and apparel, including helmets, riding jackets, gloves, and lifestyle merchandise, by actively engaging with customers on the showroom floor.
The Gear Sales
Executive will explain product features and perks, provide size and fit guidance, and recommend appropriate gear based on riders’ needs and safety requirements. Daily responsibilities include maintaining merchandise displays, ensuring proper stock levels, processing sales and returns, and supporting promotional campaigns.
The role also involves building long-term customer relationships, collecting feedback, and coordinating with the store and regional teams to meet sales targets and deliver a consistent brand experience.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage riders and shoppers in a professional, approachable manner.
- Sales and retail skills, including basic negotiation, upselling, cross-selling, and experience working with point-of-sale systems.
- Product knowledge and interest in motorcycles, riding gear, and safety standards, with willingness to learn technical details of Royal Enfield gear.
- Organization and store operations skills, such as inventory handling, visual merchandising, and maintaining a clean and orderly showroom.
- Effective communication skills in English and local languages, and the ability to clearly explain product features and benefits.
- Prior experience in apparel, gear, automotive, or lifestyle retail is desirable.
- Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in sales or retail management is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and stand or move around the showroom for extended periods.
