Role Description The Gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic disorders for inpatients and outpatients. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, performing endoscopic procedures, and managing emergencies related to the GI tract. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in ward rounds, advising on treatment plans, and ensuring evidence-based, compassionate care.

The Gastroenterologist will contribute to clinical protocols,



patient education, and quality-improvement initiatives within the department. This is a full-time, on-site role located at Apex Hospitals in Jhunjhunu.

Qualifications

Robust foundation in Medicine and Gastroenterology, with the ability to manage a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions.

Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy, including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Experience in Hepatology, including evaluation and management of liver diseases.

Familiarity with advanced diagnostic tools such as Capsule Endoscopy and related procedures.

Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate specialization in Internal Medicine and/or Gastroenterology (e.g., MD/DNB Medicine with DM/DNB Gastroenterology or equivalent).

Valid medical registration and eligibility to practice as a specialist in India.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills, with a commitment to patient safety and ethical practice.

Willingness to participate in emergency calls, continuous learning, and hospital quality and accreditation activities.
