Role Description The Game Design Faculty role is a full-time, on-site position based in Indore. The faculty member will design and deliver game design courses, including lectures, workshops, and project-based learning across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, creating learning materials, supervising student projects, mentoring learners, and assessing performance through assignments, presentations, and examinations.
The role involves collaborating with other faculty members to keep curricula aligned with industry standards, integrating current tools and methodologies in game design,
and participating in academic activities such as curriculum reviews, student events, and faculty meetings. The faculty member is also expected to engage with industry professionals, support placement initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement of teaching practices and student outcomes.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of game design principles, mechanics, level design, and user experience in games, with the ability to translate industry practices into explicit teaching content.
Practical experience with game engines and tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar), and familiarity with prototyping, asset integration, and basic scripting or visual programming.
Demonstrated teaching, training, or mentoring experience, with skills in curriculum planning, classroom management, and assessment of student work.
Ability to guide students through end-to-end game projects, including concept development, documentation, iterative design, playtesting, and refinement.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a collaborative mindset for working with multidisciplinary teams in design, technology, and business.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Game Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field; equivalent professional experience in game development may also be considered.
Awareness of current trends in the gaming industry, including platforms, business models, and emerging technologies, and a commitment to continuous learning.
