Fund Accounting Analyst Hedge Funds 2-5 Years - Pune

Responsibilities

1. Reviewing monthly Hedge Fund NAV packages prepared by third-party fund administrators.
2. Validating audited financial statements, financial highlights, and related disclosures.
3. Supporting annual audit and tax reporting activities with external stakeholders.
4. Reviewing capital activities, management fees, incentive fees, performance fees, expense accruals, and fund returns.
5. Monitoring fund expenses and ensuring timely processing of payments.
6. Assisting in regulatory reporting activities including Forms N-PORT, PF, AIFMD, and CPO filings.
7. Coordinating with portfolio managers, auditors, fund administrators, tax advisors, and investor relations teams.
8. Performing analysis on Hedge Fund strategies, valuation hierarchy, and financial reporting requirements.
9. Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal control standards.
10. Supporting ad-hoc reporting and business analysis requirements.

Requirements

1. 2 to 5 years of experience in Hedge Fund Accounting or Fund Accounting.
2. Experience in NAV calculation, NAV review, and financial reporting.
3.



Strong understanding of Hedge Fund structures including Limited Partnership (LP), LLC, Offshore Funds, Master-Feeder, and Fund of Funds.
4. Good knowledge of High Water Mark, Hurdle Rate, Management Fee, and Performance Fee concepts.
5. Familiarity with Hedge Fund strategies such as Equity Long/Short and Event-Driven Funds.
6. Understanding of Valuation Hierarchy (Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 assets).
7. Proficiency in MS Excel with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with global stakeholders.
9. Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
