Role Overview Responsible for defining, implementing, and ensuring compliance with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and ASPICE . The role involves developing safety processes, supporting development teams, and ensuring compliance with safety-critical product development. Key Responsibilities Functional Safety Compliance & Implementation
- Define and implement functional safety processes as per ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
- Guide teams in hazard analysis, risk assessment, and safety case development.
- Work with safety assessments and audits to ensure compliance.
Process Development & Automation
- Develop safety workflows for different product lifecycle phases.
- Implement best practices for safety management and traceability.
- Support the automation of safety compliance checks using scripting tools.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with design, verification,
and software teams to integrate safety practices.
- Generate key safety documents, including Safety Plans, Safety Concepts, and Safety Manuals.
- Provide technical guidance on safety FMEA, FMEDA, and DFA methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience ✔ Hands-on experience with functional safety standards – ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or ASPICE. ✔ Process definition and compliance expertise – Experience in safety-related process frameworks.
✔ Knowledge of FMEA, FMEDA, DFA, and safety analysis methods .
✔ Strong documentation and communication skills – Ability to create explicit safety documentation.
✔ Familiarity with semiconductor or automotive development lifecycles .
✔ Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or similar) for automation is a plus .
