Consultancy is recruiting a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to work closely with the product and leadership team on a next-generation operating system for financial advisory firms. The platform brings client onboarding, fact-finding, workflow automation, advice preparation, document management, compliance, audit records and ongoing service delivery together in a secure, multi-tenant SaaS environment. This is an chance to work on an early-stage platform with an established technical foundation and significant product roadmap.

You will build major capabilities, influence architecture and engineering standards, and own features from database design through to user interface and production support. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and maintain full-stack applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript and PostgreSQL.

Build features for client management, digital fact-finding, adviser workflows, document collection, compliance and advice support.

Own features end-to-end: technical design, database schema, migrations, backend logic, UI, testing, documentation and deployment.

Build secure server-side functionality using Next.js App Router, React Server Components, Server Actions and APIs.

Design multi-tenant data models with strong tenant isolation and access controls.

Implement authentication, role-based authorisation, permissions, consent records and audit logging.

Develop responsive, accessible interfaces and complex forms with validation, autosave, draft recovery and versioning.

Design safe migrations, relational constraints, transactions and data-integrity controls.

Build secure third-party API integrations and maintain unit, integration and end-to-end tests.

Develop Playwright tests and contribute to CI/CD, monitoring, logging, performance, security and reliability.

Participate in code reviews, architecture decisions and technical documentation.

Troubleshoot production issues and mentor developers as the team grows.

Work closely with product leadership to translate financial and compliance workflows into reliable software.

Required Technical

Skills

Frontend: React, Next.js, Next.js App Router, React Server Components, JavaScript, TypeScript strict mode, HTML5, modern CSS, Tailwind CSS or equivalent, responsive/accessibility practices, complex forms and reusable UI components.

Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js Server Actions, Route Handlers and APIs, secure REST APIs, authentication/authorisation, Auth.js/NextAuth/OAuth/JWT or equivalent, RBAC, multi-tenant SaaS, tenant-scoped data access, transactions, asynchronous programming, idempotency, webhooks and secure sessions.

Database: PostgreSQL or enterprise relational databases

- Drizzle ORM, Prisma, Entity Framework or equivalent; relational modelling,



schemas, constraints, indexes, migrations, transaction/concurrency management, query optimisation, versioned records and audit models. PostgreSQL Row-Level Security and Neon are advantageous.

Cloud & DevOps: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or equivalent CI/CD; automated testing/deployment

- Git and pull requests; environment and secrets management; cloud applications/databases
- Docker is advantageous; deployment safety, rollback and migration recovery; logging and production diagnostics.

Testing & Quality: Unit and integration testing

- Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or equivalent; authentication, authorisation and tenant-isolation testing; regression testing for complex workflows
- CI/CD test automation; code coverage, static analysis and quality gates.

Security: Secure software development, authentication and RBAC, least privilege and tenant isolation, OWASP risks, protection of personal/financial information, secrets management, audit logging, vulnerability remediation and privacy-by-design.

Experience with regulated or security-sensitive applications is highly regarded. Tools & Technologies

Financial services, wealth management, insurance, banking, accounting or other regulated-industry experience.

Audit trails, consent records, approval workflows and versioned data.

Complex digital forms and workflow-heavy applications.

Document generation/storage or e-signature integrations.

Accounting, banking, identity, property, regulatory or financial-data integrations.

Event-driven architecture, messaging or background jobs.

AI/LLM/generative AI integrations, structured AI outputs, human review, prompt versioning and AI auditability.

Agile/sprint delivery, architecture decision records, technical documentation, code review and mentoring.

Experience with Australian or international clients. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

5+ years of professional software-development experience.

Demonstrated full-stack capability across frontend, backend, database, testing and deployment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.





Ability to explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and collaborate across international time zones. Nice to Have
