About the Position

IITDM invites applications for open-rank faculty positions (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor) in Management. We seek outstanding scholars who will contribute to our research excellence, innovative teaching, and collegial academic community.

Responsibilities

- Conduct high-quality, impactful research publishable in top-tier journals
- Teach BBA, MBA, PGDM, and Executive Courses
- Supervise and mentor graduate students and junior faculty (especially at Associate/Full levels)
- Contribute to curriculum development, service, and the intellectual life of the department
- Seek external research funding where appropriate
- Engage with the business community and contribute to the school’s Mission and Vision

Qualifications

Required:

- Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field by the start date
- Evidence of (or strong potential for) a high-quality research program
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness or explicit potential
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning/research environment

Rank-Specific Expectations:

- Assistant Professor : Strong research pipeline, promising job market paper, and teaching capability.
- Associate Professor :



Minimum 8 years of academic and research experience. Established record of publications in leading journals (at least 5 Scopus – Q1/Q2 publications), evidence of teaching excellence, and emerging service/leadership contributions.
- Full Professor : Minimum 10 years of academic and research experience. Established record of publications in leading journals (at least 10 Scopus – Q1/Q2 publications), evidence of teaching excellence, and emerging service/leadership contributions. Distinguished record of scholarly impact, leadership in the field, successful mentoring, and significant service contributions.
