A Day in the Life The Facilities Admin Specialist is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and effective workplace operations across the Medtronic Engineering & Innovation Center (MEIC) Hyderabad office and R&D; laboratory environment. This role supports facility operations, workplace services, infrastructure maintenance, vendor management, and site improvement initiatives that enable business continuity and employee productivity. The position partners with internal stakeholders and external service providers to maintain workplace readiness, laboratory infrastructure support, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness. The role also drives continuous improvement initiatives, cost optimization, and high-quality employee workplace experiences while ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Travel requirement: Minimal travel as required for business needs.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

- Manage end-to-end facilities operations across office and laboratory environments, ensuring reliable workplace services and business continuity.

- Ensure effective operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, UPS, fire protection systems, and other critical infrastructure.

- Plan, monitor, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize facility performance and uptime.

- Manage workplace services including housekeeping, security, reception, transportation, cafeteria, parking, mailroom, visitor management, and meeting room support.

- Support laboratory operations through infrastructure readiness, maintenance coordination, equipment support, and compliance with laboratory and EHS requirements.

- Manage facility service providers, monitor SLA/KPI performance, support vendor selection, contract renewals, and performance reviews.

- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, fire and life safety requirements, environmental health and safety standards, and audit requirements.

- Lead office fit-outs, renovations, relocations, and workplace enhancement projects while managing budgets, schedules, and stakeholder expectations.

- Prepare and monitor facility operating and capital budgets, validate vendor invoices, and identify cost optimization opportunities.

- Partner with business leaders, HR, IT, Finance, Sourcing, landlords, contractors, consultants, and external agencies to resolve facility-related needs and drive continuous improvement.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

- Full-time Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

- 8 years of facilities management experience.

- Experience managing facility operations, building infrastructure maintenance, and workplace services.

- Experience managing third-party vendors and monitoring service level performance.





- Experience supporting compliance with statutory, fire and life safety, and environmental health and safety requirements.

- Experience managing facility operating expenses and budgets. Preferred:

- Experience supporting R&D; laboratory facilities or similar technical environments.

- Experience leading office fit-out, renovation, relocation, or workplace improvement projects.

- Experience managing CapEx and OpEx budgets.

- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including HR, IT, Finance, and Procurement/Sourcing.

- Knowledge of business continuity, emergency preparedness, and audit support activities.
