Role & responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental legislation including the Workplace Protection Act, Water Act, Air Act, Hazardous & Other Waste Management Rules, Solid Waste, Plastic Waste, E-Waste and Battery Waste Management Rules.
- Handle environmental statutory compliance related to CTE, CTO, Environmental Clearance (EC), Hazardous Waste Authorization, statutory returns and environmental reporting.
- Coordinate with APPCB/CPCB, MoEF&CC;, environmental consultants, NABL-accredited laboratories and other regulatory agencies.
- Monitor performance and compliance of ETP, STP, RO systems, scrubbers and Air Pollution Control Equipment (APCE).
- Monitor stack emissions, ambient air quality, noise levels, water quality, groundwater, wastewater discharge and water consumption.
- Manage segregation, storage, transportation and disposal of hazardous waste, chemical waste, sludge, used oil, plastic waste, e-waste and industrial scrap.
- Coordinate with authorized recyclers and TSDF facilities and maintain waste manifests and disposal records.
- Ensure environmental compliance across Ingot, Wafer, Cell and Module manufacturing processes.
- Monitor environmental aspects related to silicon/slurry waste, chemical handling, acid/alkali processes, wet benches, diffusion, PECVD, scrubber systems, VOC emissions, soldering, lamination and packaging waste.
- Conduct environmental inspections, compliance audits, waste audits and internal environmental audits.
- Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 50001 Energy Management System.




- Support ESG and sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction, energy conservation, water conservation, waste minimization and recycling.
- Prepare daily/monthly environmental reports, statutory submissions, compliance reports, audit reports and management review presentations.
- Track audit observations, corrective actions and environmental improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

Education:

B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./Diploma in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science / Chemical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or relevant discipline.

Experience:

- Engineer: 25 Years
- Senior Engineer: 4–7 Years
- Assistant Manager: 6–10 Years

Preferred Industry Experience Candidates with experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:

Solar PV Manufacturing / Semiconductor / Electronics Manufacturing / Chemical / Process Industry / Battery / Large Manufacturing / Greenfield Manufacturing Projects

Experience in Solar Cell, Wafer, Ingot or Module manufacturing will be an added advantage.
