About the Role A seasoned Employee Relations leader with deep expertise in regional labor laws, complex investigations, and strategic COE building.
We are looking for an Associate Relations Director to help lead, shape, and scale our Associate Relations Center of Excellence (COE) across India and the Philippines . In this critical leadership role, you will define and execute the regional Employee Relations (ER) strategy, mentor a team of ER Managers, manage high-risk/high-profile investigations, and partner directly with Senior Business Leaders, Legal, and HR Executives to foster a positive, compliant, and thriving workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & COE Execution: Define and execute the regional ER strategy across India and the Philippines; assist in building robust processes, investigation frameworks, tools, and technology enablement for the COE.
- Team Mentorship & Growth: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing group of Associate Relations COE Managers, guiding them on effective investigation methods, witness credibility, and outcome recommendations.
- Complex Investigations: Direct and manage high-risk, sensitive, and escalated investigations (e.g., Code of Conduct, POSH, Fraud/Theft, Discrimination, Retaliation, and Hostile Work Environment).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Serve as the primary AR partner to HR DVPs and executive leadership. Partner closely with Legal, Risk, Global Security Organization (GSO), and Ethics to ensure fair, consistent policy application.
- Proactive ER & Data Insights: Analyze case data and ER trends to identify systemic risks and design proactive strategies that promote a positive workplace climate aligned with core company values.
- Compliance & Policy: Protect the balance of interests for both associates and the organization in alignment with local labor laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 10+ years of dedicated HR/ER experience within complex, multinational, or matrixed organizations.
- Labor Law Expertise:
- India: Deep, hands-on knowledge of Indian labor laws ( Shops & Establishments Acts, ID Act, POSH, wage laws, etc. ).
- Philippines: Strong understanding of Philippines labor laws ( Labor Code, DOLE requirements, anti-harassment laws ).
- Regional: Broad familiarity with APAC ER frameworks and regulations.
- Core Competencies:
- Master-level skills in managing high-stakes employee relations situations, conflict resolution, and objective decision-making.
- Exceptional judgment, courage, impartiality, and discretion when handling sensitive issues.
- Solid consultative and executive-presence skills to influence across all organizational levels.
- Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset and proven experience building ER tools/templates.
