Summary The utility maintenance electrical engineer with 6-12 years of experience oversees electrical infrastructure, ensures maximum equipment uptime, and manages safety compliance. Core responsibilities focus on high-voltage systems, preventive maintenance programs, and team leadership.
Roles and Responsibility:
- Responsible for electrical system in the utility
- Responsible to have Zero breakdown hours
- Daily review on energy consumption
- Identity top consumption area and take action to reduce it.
- Responsible to reduce consumption by implementing projects.
- Handling shift technicians and guide them to have zero breakdown on utility system.
- Handling of HVAC system with low consumption
- Maintain Unity power factor.
- Responsible for utility equipments maintenance and solving problems like RMG,33KV Transformers, PAFC,STP,Compressors,Diesel generators,UPS,etc..
- Enforce lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Work permit Systems, and conduct internal safety audits.
- Conduct energy audit and plan to reduce consumption.
- Give training on energy consumption reduction.
- Maintain all check sheets and documents related to maintenance
- Experience to face the audit on energy and workplace.
- Knowledge and experience on ISO14001,ISO50001 and ISO45001 standards and audits
- Knowledge and experience on Building Management system (BMS)
- Run the utility system through BMS software.
- Spare management
Equipment Maintenance:
- Manage 33KV HT system /LT panels,
- 33KV to 440Volts transformers,
- VCBs, ACBs, switchyards, and diesel generators (DG sets)
- UPS system
- Cleanroom equipments like air shower, Sliding door, speed shutters and its interlocking system.
- Chillers
- Pumps
- Electrical control panels
- BMS system
Resource & Budget Planning:
- Oversee annual utility maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory via SAP/CMMS, and vendor contracts.
- Preference: C license Holder
Education and Qualification:
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering 10 to 12years
- BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering 6 to 8 years.
