Reporting To Administration

Position Summary AIMS Institutes is seeking a reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious Driver to support the transportation requirements of the institution. The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting management personnel, faculty, staff, students, guests, and official documents/materials as assigned, while ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep of the Institute vehicles.

Key Responsibilities Transportation Duties

- Safely operate Institute vehicles for official duties as assigned by the Management.
- Transport management personnel, faculty, staff, students, and guests to designated locations in a timely and skilled manner.
- Provide transportation support for admissions activities, institutional events, industry visits, educational tours, and other official assignments.
- Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off as per schedules and instructions.
- Follow approved routes while ensuring passenger safety and comfort.

Vehicle Maintenance & Upkeep

- Conduct daily vehicle inspections before commencing duty.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained at all times.
- Monitor fuel levels, engine oil, coolant, tyre pressure, battery condition, and other vehicle requirements.
- Report any mechanical faults, damages, or maintenance requirements immediately to the Administration Department.
- Coordinate with authorized service centers for routine servicing and repairs as directed.

Compliance & Documentation

- Maintain valid driving licenses and comply with all traffic laws and regulations.




- Ensure that vehicle documents such as Registration Certificate (RC), Insurance, Pollution Under Control (PUC), and permits are valid and updated.
- Maintain vehicle logbooks, trip sheets, mileage records, fuel consumption records, and service history.
- Submit transportation reports as required by the Administration Department.

Safety & Security

- Adhere to safe driving practices at all times.
- Ensure the safety of passengers, vehicles, and transported materials.
- Avoid rash driving, traffic violations, and unsafe practices.
- Follow emergency procedures in the event of accidents, breakdowns, or unforeseen incidents.
- Immediately report accidents or incidents to the Administration Department and Management.

Administrative Support

- Assist in the transportation and delivery of official documents, examination materials, equipment, and institutional supplies when required.
- Support institutional events and activities requiring transport assistance.
- Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the Administration Department or Management from time to time.

Qualifications

- Minimum SSLC / PUC or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License.
- Heavy Vehicle License (HMV) will be an added advantage.




- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety regulations.

Experience

- Minimum 3–5 years of driving experience in educational institutions, corporate organizations, hospitality establishments, or government sectors.
- Experience driving senior management personnel will be preferred.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.

Skills & Competencies

- Excellent driving skills and road safety awareness.
- Good knowledge of Bengaluru city routes and surrounding areas.
- Punctual, disciplined, and dependable.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Valuable interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies when required.

- Willingness to work beyond regular hours whenever required for institutional activities.
- Ability to travel within Bengaluru and outstation locations for official assignments.
- Must maintain a skilled appearance and courteous behaviour while representing AIMS Institutes.
