Company Description LeadIC Design is a VLSI engineering company focused on accelerating semiconductor innovation through full-stack chip design expertise. Founded in 2018, the company has become a trusted partner for global semiconductor organizations, supporting the complete chip development lifecycle with strong technical depth and execution ownership. With engineering teams across India and Canada, LeadIC provides high-quality design services covering custom layout, analog/mixed-signal design, digital design, verification, and physical implementation.
The organization emphasizes an engineering culture built on ownership, rigorous quality practices, and scalable offshore delivery centers aligned to client roadmaps. LeadIC builds long-term technical partnerships that help product-driven teams achieve predictable, high-performance silicon outcomes.
Role Description The Director SoC Architect will lead end-to-end system-on-chip architecture definition, including requirements analysis, partitioning, IP selection, and interface definition for complex semiconductor products. This full time, on-site role in Bengaluru South involves collaborating closely with design, verification, physical design, and firmware teams to ensure architectural choices align with performance, power, area, and cost targets. The position includes reviewing micro-architecture specifications, guiding RTL design strategies, driving system-level integration plans, and overseeing design trade-off decisions.
The Director will provide technical leadership, mentor senior engineers, establish best practices for SoC architecture,
and support customer engagements through technical presentations and solution proposals. The role also requires coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to manage risk, maintain execution quality, and ensure timely delivery of architecture milestones.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess deep expertise in SoC architecture, including system-level requirements capture, IP integration strategies, bus and interconnect architectures, and hardware/software partitioning.
Candidates should possess strong experience in digital design and micro-architecture, including RTL design, clock and reset architectures, power management strategies, and integration of complex subsystems.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of verification and validation methodologies, such as UVM-based verification, mixed-signal and full-chip verification, and FPGA-based prototyping for system-level validation.
Candidates should possess familiarity with physical design flows and constraints, including synthesis, timing closure, power optimization, STA, DFT considerations, and signoff requirements.
Candidates should possess strong leadership and collaboration skills, including team mentoring, technical decision-making, cross-functional coordination, and effective stakeholder communication.
Candidates should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform architecture trade-off analysis across performance, power, area, and reliability.
15+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor/VLSI design with significant exposure to complex SoC programs is required; prior experience in a technical leadership or architect role is highly preferred.
