Senior Devops Engineer - 7 to 9 Years
Location : Gurugram
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms to support secure, scalable, and highly available applications.
- Drive automation initiatives across infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, configuration management, and operational workflows using Rancher, Helm, Ansible, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Architect, build, and continuously improve CI/CD and GitOps pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitHub, and modern DevSecOps methodologies.
- Contribute to platform architecture, scalability planning, reliability engineering, capacity management, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Lead the implementation of platform security controls, vulnerability management processes, secrets management practices, and compliance requirements.
- Deploy, administer, and support critical platform services including Vault, Kafka, MongoDB, Redis/Valkey, ClickHouse, and Apache Superset.
- Develop reusable automation frameworks, operational tooling, and self-service capabilities using Python and Shell scripting.
- Establish and enhance observability standards through monitoring,
logging, alerting, incident management, and root cause analysis processes.
- Collaborate closely with Development, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to streamline software delivery and improve operational efficiency.
- Act as a technical mentor for DevOps engineers and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Support and optimize cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments across AWS and on-premises data centers.
- Participate in production readiness reviews, disaster recovery planning, system upgrades, and platform modernization initiatives.
Mandatory Skills
- Solid expertise in Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift administration, cluster operations, troubleshooting, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, Rancher, and containerized application deployments.
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, GitOps, and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong Linux administration skills with deep understanding of system performance, networking, security, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies for infrastructure and platform automation.
- Strong understanding of platform security, secrets management, vulnerability management,
and secure software delivery practices.
- Experience with security and DevSecOps tools including Vault, SonarQube, Nexus, SAST/DAST solutions, and vulnerability scanning platforms.
- Expertise in platform technologies such as Kafka, MongoDB, Redis/Valkey, and related distributed systems.
- Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Python and Shell scripting.
- Experience implementing observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Alertmanager, and related monitoring tools.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services, networking, compute, storage, and infrastructure management.
- Ability to design and operate highly available, scalable, resilient, and secure production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, root cause analysis, and platform reliability engineering skills.
Desirable Skills
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- Red Hat OpenShift Certification (EX280 or equivalent).
- Experience with ClickHouse, Oracle Database, Apache Superset, and other data platform technologies.
- Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and operational excellence frameworks.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery, business continuity, and platform resiliency planning.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to drive technical initiatives independently and influence platform engineering best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
