Position : DevOps Engineer, Experience: 5+ years in managing Infrastructure

Location: Kolkata/Mumbai (office) About The Role As a DevOps Engineer at TCG, the candidate will be pivotal in automating and optimizing the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.

The role focuses on deploying, releasing, and scaling high-availability systems across our organization's IT operations in Cloud setting. Working closely with the DevOps Lead/DevOps Architect, the candidate will leverage AWS services and other tools to achieve the company's operational and infrastructure goals. The primary responsibilities include setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating cloud infrastructure deployments, and ensuring the systems' security, high availability, scalability, and performance.

Role and Responsibilities

- CI/CD Pipeline Management:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitOps etc., for automating software deployment processes.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure scalable, repeatable, and reliable cloud environments.
- Lead the implementation of containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes to improve application scalability and manageability.
- Source Code Management:
- Implement Git branching setup as per defined branching strategies.
- Implement Artifacts Management repository.
- Ensure webhooks and auto-trigger mechanisms are in place.
- Infrastructure Automation:
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management,



focusing on AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, ECS, and EKS.
- Implement and manage cloud services, optimizing for cost efficiency, high availability, and performance.
- Monitor and manage resources, identifying and automating any manual processes for efficiency.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security best practices in CI/CD pipelines and AWS infrastructure, including IAM, encryption, and access controls.
- SonarQube setup for the required pipeline stages.
- Implement the DevSecOps principles to follow the shift-left approach.
- Participate in security audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Performance Optimization:
- Continuously optimize cloud and application infrastructure for peak performance using tools like AWS CloudWatch.
- Resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring seamless operations of CI/CD pipelines and cloud services.
- Upgrade or migrate the instance types as per plan.
- Business Continuity:
- Ensure the CI/CD pipeline and other DevOps tools are always green.
- Ensure business continuity by adopting redundancy leveraging best DevOps practices.
- Capacity Planning and Scaling:




- Support capacity planning and scalability of cloud resources and CI/CD pipelines, utilizing AWS Auto Scaling and other relevant features.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain documentation of CI/CD pipeline configurations, Deployment Strategies, Git branching strategies, PR approval process, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus setup and configurations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with software vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues, support and optimize services.
- Communicate effectively to understand requirements and provide solutions that meet performance expectations.

Relevant Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, with a strong alignment to AWS cloud services.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with Source Code Management and branching strategies like GitHub, and Monorepo concept.
- Artefacts Management system like Sonatype Nexus.
- Manage quality gates with SonarQube.
- Advanced knowledge in scripting and automation with languages like Groovy, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Familiarity with Git and GitOps practices (e.g., ArgoCD/FluxCD).
- Strong background in Docker and Kubernetes for containerization, orchestration and deployment.
