Role Description The Desktop Support Engineer role at Staqo is a full-time, on-site position based in Chandigarh. This role involves providing first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and related software, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, OS, and network connectivity issues.

The Desktop Support

Engineer will install, configure, and update operating systems and applications, manage user accounts and access permissions, and ensure adherence to IT security policies and standards. Daily responsibilities include handling support tickets, documenting issues and resolutions, coordinating with other IT teams for escalations,



and maintaining asset inventory and system health. The role also includes supporting end users through in-person and remote assistance, delivering basic user training, and contributing to continuous improvement of IT support processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong desktop and hardware support skills, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Candidates should possess operating system and software support skills, including Windows OS administration, common business applications support, patching, and basic scripting or automation.
- Candidates should possess networking fundamentals, including understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, VPN connectivity, and basic firewall concepts.
- Candidates should possess IT security and compliance awareness, including safe computing practices, endpoint security tools, access control, and adherence to organizational policies.
- Candidates should possess user support and communication skills, including explicit verbal and written communication, customer-focused problem solving, and the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
- Candidates should possess organizational and documentation skills, including ticket management, incident tracking, asset documentation, and adherence to standardized support procedures.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified (MD-100/MD-101), or equivalent are beneficial.
