Defense & Engineering Recruiter – US Recruitment

Location: Pune, Maharashtra (Hybrid/Onsite Preferred) | Remote for the Right Candidate

We are seeking an experienced Defense & Engineering Recruiter with expertise in US Recruitment to join our growing talent acquisition team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of recruiting highly skilled Engineering professionals and candidates with US Security Clearances for Defense, Aerospace, Government, Manufacturing, and Engineering clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle for US Engineering, Aerospace, Defense, Manufacturing, and Government positions.
- Recruit candidates for Direct Hire, Contract, Contract-to-Hire, and Government-funded projects.
- Source highly qualified candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, Dice, Indeed, JobDiva, referrals, Boolean Search, and other sourcing platforms.

Recruit professionals with Active US Security Clearances, including:

- Secret
- Top Secret (TS)
- TS/SCI
- SCI
- Polygraph (CI Poly / FS Poly)
- Verify security clearance status, eligibility, expiration, and compliance requirements.
- Understand ITAR, EAR, DOD, Government Contracting, and Federal hiring requirements.
- Screen candidates for technical expertise, engineering background, security clearance eligibility, relocation, and work authorization.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and clients.
- Negotiate compensation and manage offer processes.
- Maintain accurate ATS records and recruitment metrics.
- Build long-term relationships with Engineering and Defense professionals.




- Meet weekly and monthly submission, interview, and placement targets.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3–10+ years of experience in US Engineering and/or Defense Recruitment.
- Strong experience recruiting candidates with Active Security Clearances.
- Excellent understanding of US Government recruiting processes.
- Experience recruiting Engineering professionals across multiple disciplines.
- Knowledge of Defense hiring terminology and clearance requirements.
- Strong Boolean Search and advanced sourcing techniques.
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, Indeed, Dice, JobDiva, and ATS platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand highly technical job descriptions.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a target-driven setting.

Preferred Skills

- Experience recruiting for Aerospace, Defense, Semiconductor, Manufacturing, or Automotive Engineering companies.
- Experience supporting Fortune 500 Engineering organizations.
- Knowledge of engineering certifications and technical skills.
- Strong candidate pipeline in Engineering and Defense sectors.
- Experience with MSP/VMS clients.
- Experience recruiting for Executive and Leadership Engineering positions.
