Role Overview

We're looking for a Creative Writer and Editor who can turn our research packs into engaging YouTube scripts and assist creatively in post-production. Their responsibility will also involve editing podcasts/content from raw footage - trimming boring or dull parts and keeping engaging chunks - while also repurposing long-form and podcast content into clips and reels.





This is not just a creative writing role - you'll be responsible for content curation, repurposing, building highlights for podcasts, extracting engaging excerpts and reels, coordinating with editors, and ensuring that every piece of content is executed with clarity and creativity that is aligned with our brand experience.

You will work closely with the founder and the creative team to produce documentaries, podcasts, YouTube videos, interviews, and social media content viewed by millions of people.

Key Responsibilities

- Create engaging YouTube scripts from our research packs across philosophy, science, psychology, history, culture, economics, ethics, geopolitics, and current affairs using credible sources.
- Write engaging documentaries, prepare questions for podcasts, and create website content and social media copy.
- Transform complex ideas into compelling stories that are simple, accurate, and engaging.
- Develop content strategies, content calendars, and long-form content series.
- Work directly with the founder to shape narratives and improve storytelling.
- Handle screenwriting and thumbnail ideation before production begins.
- Prepare detailed visual references and creative briefs.
- Collaborate with editors to ensure the final output matches the screenplay, delivering strong storytelling, pacing, audience retention, and emotional impact.
- Review scripts and edited videos to maintain factual accuracy, consistency, and editorial quality.




- Repurpose long-form content into short-form videos, social media posts, and promotional content.
- Stay updated with YouTube trends, storytelling techniques, audience behavior, and emerging content formats.
- Work across multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

- Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills.
- Strong command of written Hindi and English with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience writing YouTube scripts, documentaries, podcasts, articles, or educational content.
- Ability to simplify complex subjects into engaging, easy-to-understand narratives.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills.
- Familiarity with YouTube content strategy and social media platforms.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with writers, editors, designers, and production teams.
- Passion for philosophy, science, psychology, history, culture, or intellectual discussions.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Literature, Philosophy, History, Film, Media, Social Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced creative environment and adapt to continuous feedback.
