Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Commi 1 role based in the Pune Division at TheSoundtrackCafe™. The Commi 1 will assist in food preparation and cooking according to the cafe’s standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines.

Responsibilities include supporting senior kitchen staff, maintaining high levels of kitchen hygiene, and ensuring consistent quality and portion control. The role involves preparing mise en place, operating basic kitchen equipment safely, and helping to execute café menu items during service. The Commi 1 will also coordinate with the service team for timely order delivery, follow all food safety procedures,



and help keep storage and workstations organized.

The ideal team member contributes to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment that supports both great food and the cafe’s music-driven guest experience.

Qualifications

Strong foundational culinary skills, including basic Cooking and Food Preparation in a skilled kitchen.

Demonstrated Culinary Skills in following recipes, plating standards, and maintaining consistency in taste and quality.

Commitment to Hygiene, including knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen cleanliness, and safe handling practices.

Effective Communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and service teams, and to follow instructions accurately.

Prior experience as a Commi or in a similar kitchen role is preferred; exposure to café or casual dining concepts is an advantage.

Ability to work on-site in Pune Division on rotating shifts, including weekends and peak hours.

Strong teamwork, time management, and the ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Basic culinary education or relevant certification is an added benefit; passion for food, music, and community-focused hospitality is highly valued.
