We are seeking a highly strategic, seasoned, and impact-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key business partner to the Managing Director, CEO and the Board. The CFO will lead capital strategy, corporate governance, fiscal operations, cross-functional performance, and long-term expansion initiatives.
You will lead a well-structured team of approximately 50 personnel across Finance & Accounts, Corporate Secretarial, Legal, and HR (including General Manager, Senior Managers, Managers, and Team Leads), with the finance unit anchored by 3 Chartered Accountants and 3 semi-qualified CAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Board Advisory & Business Expansion: Partner directly with the Managing Director, CEO, and the Board on long-term capital allocation, fiscal forecasting, strategic growth, M&A; due diligence, and capital deployment for major expansion projects.
- Financial Controlling & Operating Margins: Oversee complete P&L;, balance sheet integrity,
real-time cost leakage monitoring, and margin optimization across all business units.
- Banking, Treasury & Forex Optimization: Lead debt structuring, credit facility negotiations, and treasury functions to maintain low cost of capital and optimal liquidity. Assess foreign exchange exposures and execute strategies to protect profitability.
- Manufacturing & Factory Operations: Partner closely with plant leadership to drive operational efficiency and plant profitability. Oversee product costing, inventory control, capex evaluation, and financial support for factory operations.
- Audit, Compliance & Governance: Maintain flawless governance, statutory compliance, internal controls, and enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks, serving as the primary lead for internal and statutory audits.
- Risk Management: Identify and advise on business risks, in terms of skewed dependence, across procurement, sales channels, plant operations and financing.
- ERP & Process Engineering: Drive digital transformation, automation, and continuous optimization of ERP to streamline MIS, inventory control, operational workflows and data driven decision making.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Direct multi-disciplinary functions including Finance & Accounts, Corporate Secretarial, Legal, and HR aligning departmental KPIs with core business milestones.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Profitability & Strategic Guidance: Preservation of healthy operating margins and EBITDA growth with proactive and data-driven financial insights.
- Treasury, Debt Structuring & Working Capital: Reduction in cost of debt and overall finance costs, and productive working capital management to keep cost of capital low and liquidity strong.
- Forex & Treasury Optimization: Continuously assess foreign exchange exposures and recommend appropriate hedging, sourcing, pricing, and treasury strategies to reduce forex losses and protect profitability.
- Governance, Compliance & Risk Management: Zero material penalties or findings in statutory, tax, and regulatory audits; timely and accurate Board MIS reporting; and proactive identification and mitigation of financial risks across the organization.
- Expansion & M&A; Support: Provide full due diligence support on the active M&A; pipeline and ensure accurate business segment P&Ls.;
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from ICAI is mandatory. Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) or additional finance certifications preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of progressive finance leadership, with significant experience as senior finance head in Manufacturing, Agri-Tech, or industrial sectors.
- Core Competencies: Capital Deployment, P&L; Ownership, M&A; / Growth Strategy, ERP Leadership (Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar), Treasury, Risk Management, and Corporate Governance.
- Leadership Style: High integrity, analytical rigor, strategic foresight, and exceptional cross-functional team leadership.
