Role & responsibilities

- Maintain adequate stock levels of Cath Lab consumables, implants, and equipment.

- Monitor daily inventory of stents, balloons, catheters, guidewires, sheaths, contrast media, and related supplies.

- Raise purchase requisitions based on stock levels and procedure schedules.

- Coordinate with procurement and vendors for timely material availability.

- Receive, inspect, and verify supplies against purchase orders and delivery notes.

- Ensure proper storage of sterile, temperature-sensitive, and high-value items.

- Monitor expiry dates and implement FEFO (First Expiry First Out) practices.

- Maintain batch number, serial number, and implant traceability records.

- Prepare and issue required materials for scheduled and emergency Cath Lab procedures.

- Coordinate with cardiologists, nurses,



and technicians regarding procedure-specific material requirements.

- Prevent stock-outs of critical and life-saving consumables.

- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and stock reconciliation.

- Update inventory transactions in ERP/HIS systems accurately.

- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consumption reports.

- Monitor usage trends and forecast future inventory requirements.

- Control inventory costs and minimize wastage, damage, and expiries.

- Track consignment stock and vendor-managed inventory where applicable.

- Process returns, replacements, and recalls of defective or expired products.
