Role Description This is a full-time, in office role for a Car Evaluator / Technician / Mechanic / Hub Inspector based in the Bangalore . The role involves conducting detailed inspections of incoming vehicles using Spinny’s 200-point checklist, assessing mechanical, electrical, and body condition, and identifying required repairs or reconditioning. The qualified in this position will document inspection findings, prepare accurate evaluation reports, and ensure all cars meet Shinny's quality standards before being listed for sale or test drive.
Daily responsibilities also include coordinating with hub managers and workshop teams, verifying job work completion,
and maintaining clear records in internal systems. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, support in customer-facing walkthroughs when needed, and active contribution to continuous improvement of inspection processes.
Qualifications
Strong automotive technical skills, including knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and body systems, and experience in car diagnostics and repair.
Experience with vehicle inspection processes, quality checks, and documentation, preferably in a used-car, dealership, or service center environment.
Ability to use diagnostic tools, basic workshop equipment, and inspection instruments safely and effectively.
Attention to detail, reliability, and consistency in following structured checklists and quality standards.
Good communication and collaboration skills to work with hub staff, technicians, and customer-facing teams.
Minimum 10th Pass with a valid 4-wheeler driving license
ITI/Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience in automotive service, will be preferred.
Comfort working on-site in a hub environment, with flexibility to handle peak volumes and extended hours when required.
Previous experience in the used-car segment or multi-brand workshops is an advantage; familiarity with digital tools or mobile apps for reporting is beneficial.
