Senior Engineer specializing in Vehicle Dynamics Simulation to support the development of a recent automotive platform. The role requires hands-on expertise in building, validating, and simulating vehicle dynamics models using tools such as Simpack, CarSim, CarMaker, Adams, and MATLAB. This role involves managing and maintaining multiple vehicle variants, working across different modeling environments and reporting simulation results. Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain high-fidelity vehicle dynamics CAE models and component models in Simpack, CarSim, CarMaker, Adams, or Amesim. Expand generic platform models into specific vehicle models and variants.
Conduct simulations to verify vehicle dynamics requirements, including: Ride comfort and handling, Brake performance, Steering capacity Validate CAE models by correlating simulation results with past verification data or prototype vehicle track test data. Update models continuously to reflect design changes to systems and components.
Report simulation results and participate in technical review meetings.
Contribute to modeling efficiency best practices and research new vehicle dynamics modeling techniques.
Required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline. 6–10 years of hands-on experience in CAE modeling and vehicle dynamics simulation.
Simpack or CarSim: Candidates must demonstrate expert-level proficiency in at least one of these two platforms, as they are the primary tools for this role. CarMaker, Adams, AMESim, and/or MATLAB: Proficiency in these tools is considered beneficial.
Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics phenomena (suspension, brake, steering, and control systems). Proven experience in model building and validation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
